About
Laura is an enthusiastic youth librarian and storyteller who works to empower children through their development of literacy and critical thinking skills.
Though her experience includes work in academic, public, and school libraries, Laura found herself drawn to youth services while earning her MSLS at UNC Chapel Hill.
Before her work as a librarian, Laura completed a double B.A. in Psychology and in Women’s and Gender Studies. This educational background helped to inform her current teaching practice, grounded in inclusivity and equity.
Laura hopes to share stories, explore new technologies, and create innovative programming with youth long into the future.
